Why do your products have a Prop 65 Warning?Updated 2 years ago

These warnings are found on all treadmills from every major brand and those who don't prominently list it are in violation of California Prop 65.


Vinyl chloride is used in the manufacturing process to make the treadmill belt (PVC) while cadmium is used in the manufacturing process to make the treadmill frame. Usually, only people closely involved with the manufacturing processes are exposed to cadmium and vinyl chloride, however, it could be possible to breathe in vinyl chloride if the chemicals in the treadmill belt were to become airborne through a burning process, ie: fire.
