What is the Prop 65 Warning?Updated 2 years ago

Here is some information regarding the Proposition 65 warning that may help. These warnings are found on all treadmills from every major brand and those who don’t prominently list it are in violation of California Prop 65.

Vinyl chloride is used in the manufacturing process to make the treadmill belt (PVC) while cadmium is used in the manufacturing process to make the treadmill frame.

Usually, only person(s) exposed to this are those around during the time of manufacturing, however, it could be possible to breathe in vinyl chloride if the chemicals in the treadmill belt were to become airborne through a burning process, ie: fire. Consumer exposure to either of these chemicals is rare.

Please note, this warning is nothing to worry about. We are just required to inform you of these warnings.
